2007 NFL MOCK DRAFT

In most people minds, it is clear Jamarcus Russell (LSU quartner) will be the #1 pick come Saturday. The questions are: What will the Detroit Lions do at #2? Will they draft Calvin Johnson , Joe Thomas or Gaines Adams, or will they trade back to take Laron Landry or Gaines Adams. It was rumored the Detroit Lions will draft Calvin Johnson, who most experts consider the best player in the draft, and trade him. If that is true, what will the Cleveland Browns do with the third pick, draft Adrian Peterson or draft Brady Quinn? Brady Quinn seems to be the best senario. He is a fan favorite being born and raised in Ohio, and he would fill a need for them at the quarterback position. I believe that they will draft Quinn. After signing Jamal Lewis in the off season, Cleveland would not need to draft a running back so early. But when it comes to Adrian Peterson, where will he go? Tampa Bay with pick #4 does not need a running back, netiher does Arizona or Washington at 5 & 6. Some believe Adrian Peterson is a future Hall of Famer being compared to Gale Sayers. With Minnesota dedicating so much money on Chester Taylor, will they be willing to past on greatness or fill a need at safety if Laron Landry falls to them. If so, Houston at pick #10 would not pass on greatness twice. Passing on Reggie Bush in last years draft, the Texans would be the league laughing stock once again if they were to pass on Peterson. With teams taking the best available players left on the board in the first round, there are players that will fall in the second and third round that could contribute right away and may even start contributing next season. Here are the projections for the first day of the NFL Draft April 28th, with the second day projections to follow later.

Mock Draft is likely to change due to trades that may occur within the next 24 hours. Based on teams drafting players to fill a need or taking the best available player on the board.

Don't be surprised if Brady Quinn is the #1 pick by tomorrow. The Washington Post is reporting the Oakland Raiders are negotiating a contract with Quinn to have him signed before the draft.

I hope that the packers do get Okoye at 16. I don't think he will fall that far. And the packers need a running, why would they draft Tony Hunt. Who is he.

this was a crazy draft. i liked this mock and some of the later picks did come out like you said, but there was a lot of reaching in this draft. the lions suck and i want to kill them. their draft was full of comedy.
